Purisco Variety Samplers from Tabacos de la
Cordillera Include New Purisco Negro
Tabacos de la Cordillera™ has introduced its new Purisco™
Variety Samplers, with 3 each of its 3 Purisco premium cigars.
This is also the debut of their Purisco Negro cigar, in an
oscuro wrapper. The cellophane-wrapped mini-bundles of 9 cigars
are available in 2 of the most popular shapes ... Robusto (5" x
50) and Corona (6-1/4" x 44). The Samplers join the
recently-released Cumbres de Puriscal™ Variety Samplers, also
9-cigar mini-bundles of 3 each Cumbres Gold, Silver, and Emerald
cigars. |

Tabacos de la Cordillera is the world's only
cigar maker growing tobacco from genetically pure pre-Castro
"ancestral" seeds that date as far back as 1945, to Cuba's
Golden Age of Cigars. Company director John Vogel, a graduate
agronomist and 40-year genetic researcher in the premium cigar
industry, grows all the tobacco naturally on Tabacos de la
Cordillera's 65-acre farm near the Costa Rican mountain town of
Santa Marta de Puriscal. |

Vogel states, "Like Cumbres Samplers, these
should prove popular, because smokers can sample all 3 blends of
each line and save 40% off the cost of buying three 5-pack
samplers of each." Full bodied Purisco Negro has an extra-oily,
coffee-black oscuro wrapper that results from extra
fermentation. The existing medium-bodied Rojo has a natural
wrapper, and the medium-full bodied Azul has a maduro wrapper. |

"We've startled the world of premium cigars ...
and created some sharp controversy ... with our claim that our
cigars are as 'Cuban' as Castro's," states Vogel. "That doesn't
mean they taste like today's Cuban cigars. Our pre-Embargo seed
bank is the bridge that transports the taste and bouquet of the
classic Havanas of old into today's cigars." Vogel should know
... he and his professional taster have smoked Havanas since the
early 1960s, before many of today's smokers were born. |

All 3 Purisco lines are available in 5 of the
most popular shapes. Manufacturer's suggested retail pricing for
the Purisco Variety Samplers in both Robusto and Corona is
$36.00. They, and all other Tabacos de la Cordillera cigars, are
available on the company's Web site, www.tabacordillera.com. |
